The West Coast Sea Nettle is the subject of my Monochrome shot this week. The specie belong to large stinging jellies but are of extreme beauty and grace as they glide up and down the tank.

ReplyDeleteThat sea nettle is beautiful. You mostly see them lit up in different colors in aquariums but they really are stunning in black and white.

ReplyDeleteAs a child who live by the seashore, jellyfish could be our playmates or enemies. The white square ones are indeed the most gracious slimy ballerina in the water. Great monochromic subject. :) Thanks for the visit in my Skywatch and main.
ReplyDeleteIt's an extraordinary creature. I can't work out what's what. It's almost as if it's a composite. Perhaps it's escaped from a science fiction film. Definitely black and white 'B' movie material!
